This senior session was truly special! Ava had a unique idea for her photos—she wanted them taken outside of a cathedral, and that’s exactly what we did! We met up in Minneapolis and captured some stunning shots outside the Basilica St. Mary. It was a cloudy day, which, contrary to popular belief, actually provides some of the best lighting for photography. There’s a huge misconception that clouds mean bad lighting, but in reality, cloudy skies diffuse the sunlight, creating soft, flattering light that enhances the natural beauty of the subject. Ava even brought her sister along, which added an extra layer of joy to the shoot. Getting to know each other with her sister’s help made everything run smoothly!

After our time at the Basilica, we headed to our next location: the Lyndale Rose Garden. Ava looked absolutely stunning in her dress, which matched the flowers perfectly. It was a refreshing change of scenery, with the Rose Garden giving off organic vibes.

Lastly, we crossed the street, Ava changed once more in the portable changing tent, and we wrapped up the session at Lyndale Rock Peace Garden. Overall, it was an amazing session and a perfect morning!
