Nam and Thomas’s elopement began with their very close friends and family gathering at the Saint Paul Courthouse. Despite the cold day, only good vibes filled the air as Nam and Thomas were finally tying the knot after six years together, including over four years of long-distance. The atmosphere inside City Hall was serene on this Sunday afternoon, with no one else around as we started this special journey.
We went up to the courtroom, where we met the judge, and he began a swift yet meaningful ceremony. With laughter and tears, Nam and Thomas were officially pronounced husband and wife! As they walked out of the courtroom, you could sense the joy and love emanating from them, filling the space with warmth.
Following the ceremony, we captured group pictures with the judge, friends, and family to remember this extraordinary day. Then, Nam and Thomas, along with myself, indulged in some creative editorial-style photography inside City Hall. After obtaining a collection of AMAZING shots, it was time for farewells as everyone bid their goodbyes, and Nam and Thomas, and I headed to the Minnesota State Capitol to complete their couple portraits.
To our surprise, the Capitol was bustling with a large Red Bull snowboarding event, but even amidst the crowds, we managed to capture some of the most romantic and beautiful images. It was evident how deeply in love Nam and Thomas are, making the photography process effortless and enjoyable. We concluded the day with champagne popping and a few pictures showcasing their transitional Tibetan garb. It was truly an unforgettable afternoon!
Stay tuned for more updates on Nam and Thomas as I’ll be photographing their grand wedding at Equestria West this fall!
